What the paws mean
Every breeder on KittenKey has a colored paw next to their name. The color shows how much we have checked. Tap a paw on any profile to read what it means.
Breeders with a blue paw or higher come first in search. Breeders who are not verified yet have a grey paw and show up lower: ask for a live video and meet before you pay. Grey checkmarks next to the paw are extra checks: “TICA registered” or “CFA registered” (we saw the cattery registration), “Health-tested parents”, and “ID verified” (the breeder’s driver’s license matched their selfie in a check run by Stripe — KittenKey never sees the ID).
- Not verifiedNot checked by KittenKey yet. See the kitten on a live video or in person before you send money, and use a payment you can dispute.
- Verified breederShowed the real kittens and their mom on a video with a personal KittenKey code, and agreed to the KittenKey breeder code.
- Documented breederVerified, plus the parents’ vaccination records checked by KittenKey.
- Top breederChosen by the KittenKey team for excellent care and happy families. Given by hand, can’t be bought or requested.
Paws can’t be bought. The gold paw is given only by the KittenKey team, to breeders who truly stand out.
